Our Baby Bubby
Welp, it's about that time...3 weeks today until my due date. I can't believe it! Aaron and I tried to get pregnant for about 10 months and then when it was supposed to happen it did :)
I had started creating a board on Polyvore to help me figure out what I wanted to the little guy's nursery to look like. I took inspiration of how to set up my mood board from the Lay Baby Lay blog. And I'm really happy with how his nursery turned out
Also, I suppose I very rarely updated the blog with the going-ons of our life. So, I will say we bought a house in 2013 in an awesome "hipster" neighborhood and then we turned around and sold it 2 years later.
We loved the neighborhood and the fact that we were so close to our good friends, Taylor & Chase, but the fact that we didn't have a yard was weighing on us. With a baby on the way and the fact that I had to take Luca for a walk everytime he had to go out played a huge part in us starting the process of looking for our new home. We didn't plan on moving as quickly as we did but we found a house that we love in a cute "village" 20 min from downtown Pittsburgh. The new house is still a work in progress but Aaron is loving it!

Tulum....yes please!
Cut to 4 months later...
A new single screen movie theater has just opened in Lawrenceville, Row House Cinema, that plays classics and cult favorites. Their soft opening weekend was free admission for those "in the know". And our friends, Taylor and Chase, are always "in the know".
Friday night Taylor, Chase, Aaron, and I go see Point Break-which I amazingly had never heard of even though I love Keanu Reeves and pretend to be an avid surfer. While watching the movie and drinking a very large bottle of beer, I declared to Aaron that we are "most definitely going on a surf vacation!".
Two weeks later...
Our trip to Tulum is booked for Nov 1st-8th - the week of Aaron's 30th birthday! Mind you-I don't think you can even surf in Tulum (due to little windswell), but just gimme a boogie board and I will be as entertained as a 9 yr old boy at Legoland (I assume 9 yr olds boys love Legoland...?)!
Pictures to come mid November....anticipate being jealous :)

Bring that bar cart over here!
A few weeks before Christmas I discovered the idea of bar carts, and, immediately, fell in love.
There was a space in our apartment that I could not figure out how to utilize until I discovered this heavenly idea. So, when my mom asked me what Aaron and I would like for Christmas, I quickly responded, "Bar Cart! Bar Cart! Bar Cart!...among other things" (I think Aaron would have rather received Steelers tickets or something else manly, but sacrifices are made everyday, right?).
I knew I wanted a gold bamboo one, and through "googling" I discovered ShopSocietySocial. After deciding the Sedgewick was the best option, my mama went ahead and placed the order and it arrived in 4 days. You know you have grown up when you get this excited about furniture.
Above is our version (grainy picture taken with my iPhone)

Cannonball!
Okay, okay. So, it's 32 degrees here in Pittsburgh and the chances of me wearing a swimsuit are nonexistent (unless I pretend that my bathtub is a far away beach in Hawaii... hmm, not a bad idea), but a girl can dream, right?
Several weeks ago I saw that Madewell began selling Mara Hoffman bathing suits, and I thought to myself, "If only I could rationalize spending $275 for a swimsuit....". But alas, I could not. So instead, I will show you how I would wear the one that caught my eye, along with a Zimmerman swimsuit I found on Neiman Marcus (also out of my price range...wah wah wahhh)....
I have to say I haven't worn a one piece bathing suit since I was 12 but I'm definitely digging them now-especially, the two below.

Double Piercing, Anyone?
Well, I haven't posted since July. Oops!
A few weeks after my first post I started a new job as a merchandise planner with a company that wasn't very stable (lesson learned-don't take first offered job and sell yourself short...). Unfortunately, they downsized drastically this past month-letting over 40 employees go (including me) so I'm back to where I started. This, also, serves as a sign to me that I need to find a job that I am happy and comfortable with. But first I need to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. Can anyone tell me what that should be? :)
The night after I lost my job I was having a rough time getting some sleep, so between the hours of 1:30am and 5am I started some "blog stalking"...is that even a phrase? During this time I discovered a piece of toast blog and fell in love. And after reading This Piece of Toast Blog with Jessica Alba I decided I wanted my ears double pierced. Soooo....I woke my husband, Aaron, up to tell him just that. To which he replied, " "Whatever you say, honey. What time is it?!" The next morning I told my mom about my decision and she replied, "Nooooo! Don't deface yourself!". I, then, reminded her that she took me to get my ears pierced when I was 3, my ear cartilage pierced when I was 13, and my belly button pierced (it was the time when Britney Spears was popular! ;) when I was 15. Mothers can be so funny sometimes.

So, Aaron and I went to Claire's on Friday night and I got my ears double pierced (as I squeal like a 13 year old)!! For whatever reason (deliriousness perhaps?) I had them pierce my ears with big CZs, so I'm really excited for the Claire's prescribed 6 week mark so that I can change my earrings for these and these.
